A new bill being discussed in the U.S. House of Representatives would see consumers being able to pay full price for new cell phones in order to not be locked into a 2 year contract with a carrier, and would limit carrier ETFs to recouping only phone subsidies.

Apple has released a new revision of firmware for the iPhone. While Apple officially claims that this rather large update addresses only a few random bugs, many in the industry seem to believe that it also is the first step towards supporting iPhone SDK applications.
