Today Sprint fired a warning shot towards its competitors indicating that it is fully ready to compete on price. Sprint announced its new $99.99 Simply Everything plan that includes unlimited voice, messaging, data, GPS navigation, music, email, Sprint TV, and push to talk.

T-Mobile USA posted its Q4 2007 and year-end 2007 results, which show an increase in new net customers and revenue. The carrier claims more than 3.6 million new customers signed up for its mobile services in 2007.

A new bill being discussed in the U.S. House of Representatives would see consumers being able to pay full price for new cell phones in order to not be locked into a 2 year contract with a carrier, and would limit carrier ETFs to recouping only phone subsidies.
