AT&T Mobility has settled a billing fraud case with the Florida Attorney General for $2.6 million. The suit alleges that the carrier charged for mobile content that was advertised as being free to consumers.

A United Kingdom High Court has ruled that Qualcomm's GSM patents at the center of a conflict with Nokia are invalid. Qualcomm filed a suit against Nokia on May 24th, 2006, claiming that Nokia owed licensing fees for using these patents.

In a press release issued earlier today, personal computer manufacturers Acer of Taiwan announced that it has agreed to acquire E-Ten, the maker of the Glofiish line of Windows Mobile smartphones.

Today at the CeBIT show in Hannover, Germany, Nokia announced the release of its new 6124 Classic for Vodafone's global markets. The 6124 Classic is a multimedia focused smartphone that runs Nokia's S60 user interface.
