Mobile Edge V-Load 2.0 Laptop Briefcase - Superior Design

Posted by Matthew Olivolo on March 6th, 2008

Mobile Edge 17″ Premium V-Load 2.0The design team at Mobile Edge has outdone themselves with the upgrades they made to the new V-Load 2.0 Collection of briefcases made to carry your laptop. The material alone is light years above the competition. Made with 3360 Denier Double Ballistic Nylon, this collection of briefcases has to be one of the strongest most durable laptop bags on the market. Competitors use much lower denier (thread count) allowing their bags to easily rip, fray or simply break. I guess that is why Mobile Edge has a Lifetime Warranty because they know their products are made to last.

The new Bungee Comfort System adds comfort unlike any other bag on the market. The shock absorbing placement points made of flexible yet durable nylon ease the weight of the bag on your shoulder. This helps make traveling comfortable, not to mention help minimize back and shoulder pain.

TMobile Edge V-Load Cordurahe outer flap is held closed by low-frequency magnets alleviating the harsh ripping sound common laptop bags make. Once you get used to this sleek design option you will wonder why other manufacturers didn’t think of this.

Another exclusive feature the Mobile Edge design team added to the V-Load 2.0 Collection is the Wireless Security Shield accessories pocket. This pocket is made of a Zinc lined material which blocks out electromagnetic waves and radio frequencies. This helps keep your Bluetooth enabled phone or PDA from being hacked into. It also helps when you are in a meeting. Your phone will not ring, calls go straight to voice mail. Never worry about your phone interrupting a meeting again!

The V-Load Briefcases come in two sizes, one to accommodate wide-screened laptops up to 15.4”, and the larger version for 17” laptops. You have your choice of 3360 Denier Double Ballistic Nylon or Full-Grain Black Leather. Either way you can’t go wrong. Check them out on the Mobile Edge website.

No Surprise - Cell Phone Most Vital Device

Posted by YDogg on March 6th, 2008
According to a new study released by the Pew Internet and American Life Project, Americans are now more reliant on their mobile phones than their landline phones. When the research firm mounted a similar study two years earlier, respondents still cited landline phones as the more essential technology.

"The preferences have flipped," said Pew Research associate director John Horrigan. "During that timeframe, people have gotten new devices that have more capabilities. People have more experience using cell phones for text messaging and other information tools. That has helped pushed cell phones as 'go to' devices."

Mobile handsets are now the technological tool Americans would be most reluctant to give up, surpassing the Internet and television; two years ago, landlines topped the Pew Research list, with television in second place and cell phones in third.

According to Pew Research, 58% of mobile users have now sent or received text messages, a 41% increase over April 2006 totals; on an average day, 31% of mobile subscribers employ text services and 15% turn to camera features, with about 8% playing mobile games. Another 8% rely on their phones for email.
