We managed to put together a video of Sony Ericsson's Xperia X1 panels interface at work, finally answering the question about what they really do. The panels serve as a way to get to both apps and different home screens. They are worth checking out.

Nokia has finally officially announced the N810 Internet Tablet WiMAX Edition, after endless rumors and several leaks. Announced at CTIA 2008, the new version of the N810 adds support for Sprint's soon to launch XOHM WiMAX service.

Today at the 2008 CTIA Wireless show, Sprint and Samsung announced the launch of the Samsung SCH-M800 Instinct, a full touchscreen feature phone that is packed full of functionality and sports a user interface co-designed by Sprint and Samsung.

Today LG officially announced the impending availability of the Vu, its new full-touch based phone for AT&T. One of the Vu's top features is its Mobile TV support, which will work with AT&T's new MediaFLO based network when it launches soon.

LG announced today at CTIA Wireless 2008 the availability of the new LG Vu, a touch screen handset with the support of the new AT&T Mobile TV. With a large three-inch interactive touch screen accompanied by a minimalist scroll bar design, the LG Vu is equipped with video, music, and camera features, in addition to offering first-time access to AT&T Mobile TV.

As expected, Sony Ericsson confirmed that it will be running Windows Mobile 6.1 on its stand-out arc-slider phone, XPERIA X1. On top of it they will be adding their own XPERIA panel user interface (UI)

At CTIA Wireless 2008, Microsoft unveiled the new Windows Mobile 6.1 with a new version of Internet Explorer Mobile, which adds desktop-grade Web browsing to Windows Mobile phones. The updated smartphone OS also includes a new time-saving features, easier phone navigation and management, and increased security safeguards.The new version of Internet Explorer Mobile adds the ability to easily view full-screen Web pages and multimedia on the Web with a smartphone. By taking advantage of Internet Explorer 6 technologies and supporting established and upcoming industry standards such as H.264, Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight, the updated Internet Explorer Mobile gives people a rich mobile Internet experience. The update will be available to mobile phone partners in the third quarter of 2008, with the first Windows Mobile phones using the new version expected to be available by the end of 2008.
With Windows Mobile 6.1 users will be able to accomplish the following:
- Stay up to date and share from a single location. Glance at and respond to notifications such as missed calls, upcoming appointments and new messages from the home screen as well as play music and share photos.
- Get up and running in minutes. From setting up e-mail, a Bluetooth headset or Wi-Fi, the new Getting Started Center makes the phone experience intuitive and simple.
- Save time with features adapted for the small screen. Easily flag, delete or move groups of messages and keep track of conversations through threaded text messaging. Zoom in on text or pictures, or view an entire Web page at once.
- Help keep business information protected. BenQ today announces its latest mobile phone - the slim BenQ T60. Measuring a mere 8.9mm thin, the T60 sports a 2.2-inch QVGA TFT LCD display, a built-in camera with 3.2 megapixel photo output, and a multimedia player.

Today here in Las Vegas, Microsoft officially launched the update to Windows Mobile that we all knew was coming: Windows Mobile 6.1. The update to the popular smartphone platform adds a new version of Internet Explorer as well as a number of usability enhancements.
