Limelife Launches Mobile Site

Posted by YDogg on June 11th, 2008

Fresh off the news from the NY Times yesterday that more and more women are using their mobile phones to go online, play games and access information, LimeLife, Inc., a mobile media company for women, announced today the launch of its free mobile Web destination site at m.limelife.com. LimeLife’s mobile Web site features a daily menu of original lifestyle content which mobile users can access via their mobile phones to stay “in the know, on the go” about the latest fashions, music, celebrity news, and games.

Per their press release, today’s launch makes LimeLife the first lifestyle media company to establish its consumer brand first on the mobile phone. LimeLife’s content is targeting the young adult “super communicators,” the generation most wedded to their mobile phones.

“We’ve created a mobile destination for young women to access information about everything that interests them in a format that is fresh, smart, inclusive and fun,” said Kristin McDonnell, LimeLife’s CEO. “LimeLife has a wide offering of mobile content and we’re excited to expand that mobile portfolio to include our own original editorial content, in addition to making this content ubiquitous across channels and devices alike.”

I checked out the site on my Nokia N75 and it is well done. Very simple and mobile friendly with nice colors and graphics. I was curious about their game offering and I couldn't find any of Limelife's games but there is a link to FREE games which appears to be a white-labeled version of Cellufun's wap portal.

You can access LimeLife’s mobile Web site by typing m.limelife.com into your mobile Web browser.
